Henrik Estrup Resigns as Chief Operating Officer at Greenland Airports

Henrik Estrup is stepping down from his position as Chief Operating Officer at Greenland Airports.

For several years, he has played a central role in the operation and development of Greenland’s airports, first as CEO of Mittarfeqarfiit and later as COO of the new company.

– “I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to the development of a key part of Greenland’s infrastructure and to take on both a challenging and exciting task alongside talented colleagues. I wish them and Greenland Airports all the best going forward,” says Henrik Estrup.

Jens Lauridsen, CEO of Greenland Airports, notes that there is never a perfect time to make changes at the executive level.

– “However, we are currently in a transitional phase between the opening of Nuuk Airport and the preparations for the openings of the new airports in Ilulissat and Qaqortoq. This presents an opportunity to reshuffle the deck. Going forward, there will be a need for a profile with a stronger commercial focus on airport operations,” says Jens Lauridsen.

– “With his many years of experience, extensive knowledge, and dedication, Henrik has played a significant role in the development of airport operations in Greenland. I would like to thank him for the good collaboration and for his considerable efforts,” he adds.

The operations department will, during the transition period, be managed by Senior Director Niels Grosen in collaboration with Jens Lauridsen.
