Information About Sponsorships

Greenland Airports follows a sponsorship policy aimed at supporting both large and small projects that benefit our company and the Greenlandic community. We strive to contribute to initiatives that align with our values, bring joy, and strengthen communities across the country.

Principles for Sponsorship Allocation:

  1. Sponsorships are not granted to employees of the company, political activities, study trips, or individuals.
  2. We prioritize support for projects, both large and small, that help foster joy and strengthen communities throughout Greenland.
  3. Special consideration is given to initiatives focused on children and youth, health, culture, and the environment.
  4. We prefer to support activities where our employees can actively contribute during working hours (e.g., Saligaatsoq) rather than providing financial contributions.
  5. Sponsorships may also be granted to activities that have a direct positive impact on the company, such as increased visibility, positive publicity, or revenue growth.
  6. To a lesser extent, we may also support activities that do not directly impact the company but are granted based on our role as a major and influential business in the local community.

Interested in Applying for a Sponsorship?

If you wish to apply for sponsorship from Greenland Airports and meet the above criteria, you can submit your application to our sponsorship committee at sponsor@airports.gl

In your application, please clearly specify:

  • Who is submitting the application?
    • Is it an association, a company, or another type of organization?
    • Who is the primary contact person?
  • What is your motivation for applying for sponsorship
  • What exactly are you seeking sponsorship for?
    • Is this a local or nationwide event?
    • Who will benefit from the sponsorship?
    • Please attach a business plan if applicable.
  • Type of sponsorship requested – what do you need support with?
    • If financial support is requested, specify the amount and include a budget for larger events.
    • If the sponsorship involves manpower, services, or other resources, please specify.
    • Is this a one-time sponsorship or an ongoing commitment over a longer period?
  • How will Greenland Airports gain visibility from being a sponsor?
  • Date of the event.

When Are Sponsorship Applications Processed?

The sponsorship committee meets six times a year to review submitted applications.

Please note that applications will not be processed between meetings.
